The new head of the Department of Netpolice received Ukrainian citizenship
The head of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko signed a decree on granting the citizenship of George Grigalashvili, who led the first patrol law enforcement bodies of Georgia, informs a press-service of the head of the Ukrainian country on Sunday.

According to the press service, Grigalashvili will head the Department of homeland security Netpolice of Ukraine, which will identify violations from militiamen and to fight against illegal activities of officials within the Agency.

"You showed the result on reforming the law enforcement system in Georgia, are required to demonstrate in Ukraine ", - quoted expression Poroshenko press service.

According to the report, George Grigalashvili participated in the reform of law enforcement system in Georgia and in the creation of the national police in Ukraine. From 2006 to 2012 Grigalashvili directed patrol law enforcement bodies of Georgia.

The law on the National police, created in line with the modernization of the Ministry of internal Affairs of Ukraine, entered into force in Ukraine Since 7 November. From that moment ceases to exist the militia, which is a national law enforcement agencies. However, the Law provides for a transition period, during which police officers will be recertified to get to work on the new structure.
