The self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk people's republics will not agree to the amendments to the Constitution of Ukraine, adopted without consulting them, said the official authorized LNR in the contact group Vladislav Danego reporters on Tuesday in Minsk.

"Clearly there is an understanding that these changes (to the Constitution of Ukraine - ed.) must be agreed with the authorized Donetsk and Lugansk, which at the moment didn't take place," said Danego. He added that to this question the parties have plans to return at the next contact group meeting in next Tuesday.

"Even in the case of adoption of change, as they did in the first reading, without approval, that acceptance will not comply with the set of measures (adopted by the results of negotiations in Minsk on 12 February - ed.) will not be accepted by the republics and will not work for a peaceful resolution of the conflict situation in the South-East of Ukraine ", - said Deynego.

The Ukrainian authorities in April of last year began military action against the self-proclaimed LNR and DND. According to the final data of the UN, the victims of the conflict began more than 8 thousand people. The settlement of the situation in the Donbas region is discussed, as well as among them, during meetings in Minsk the contact group, which since September of last year had already taken 3 of the document, regulating the steps to de-escalate the conflict.
