The draft changes to the Constitution of Ukraine in part of justice, submitted by President Petro Poroshenko in the Verkhovna Rada on Wednesday, provides for the recognition of Ukraine jurisdiction of the international criminal court (ICC).

"the bill stipulates that Ukraine may recognize the jurisdiction of the international criminal court on the conditions defined by the Rome Statute of international criminal court" - written in the explanatory note to the Internet representation Happy, submitted to the law of the President.

The Verkhovna Rada, in February, appealed to the ICC on the recognition by Ukraine of its jurisdiction in respect of crimes against the Ukrainian people, as if committed by the highest officials of Russia. Immediately after the decision of Parliament, the Prosecutor General of Ukraine gave the ICC Prosecutor's investigation in respect of crimes against the Ukrainian people, as if committed by the authorities of the Russian Federation.

in September, the head of the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin gave a message to the Secretary of the ICC for recognition by Kiev of the court's jurisdiction. According to the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine, the statement that " Ukraine recognizes the jurisdiction of the court with respect to all crimes committed in Ukraine since the beginning of the military aggression of the Russian Federation against our country." The message is of an indefinite nature. Therefore, the ICC will have jurisdiction over these crimes regardless of the nationality of persons who have committed them, even if they are residents of third countries, underlines the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

The Ukrainian authorities, as well as the US and EU before many times accused Moscow of interfering in Ukraine's Affairs. Russia denies it and calls such accusations unacceptable. Moscow repeatedly stated that it is not a party to domestic conflict and not privy to the events in the South-East, is interested in Ukraine overcame political and economic crisis.
