Crimea began to receive supplies of electricity from Russia Crimea began to receive the supply of electricity on the energy bridge from Russia. The launch of phase 1 will allow for the transfer of 200 megawatts by December 20, the amount of supplied energy will be doubled. Construction work took place in the shortest possible time.

In the foreseeable future electricity will be extended to about 180 settlements, such as Feodosia and Kerch.

On the night of December 3, Vladimir Putin gave the order to start the supply of electricity to Crimea. The energy supply of the Peninsula was launched after in record time over the construction of the 1 phase of power bridge.

At first, the Crimea will receive 200 megawatts of power. After 2 weeks, December 20, this number will be doubled. This will provide the Peninsula with electricity by 80-90%, stated the head of the energy Ministry of Russia Alexander Novak. And in the coming days the power will be in 180 cities of the Crimea, in Kerch and Feodosia, reports RIA Novosti. "Since the beginning connect buyers, just now it will be possible to provide the electric power transfer capacity of about 100 megawatts from the first 200 MW, which allows this submarine cable chain. 2nd 100 MW, we shall find, I think, in the next few days", - quotes the Minister TASS.

The launch was held under the leadership of Vladimir Putin, when he personally arrived in Simferopol. The Russian President thanked the Crimeans for self-restraint. The head of the Republic Sergey Aksyonov announced that Crimea is nothing and nothing isn't necessary to Ukraine. "We never from anybody did not take anything. It will be faithful, self-generating system, and woven with the main power system of the Russian Federation, plus its own in 2017-2018 year will be even greater than I have received from Ukraine", - said in response to Putin. The leader of the country stressed that the government will allow for the development of the economy of the Crimea at least for the medium term.

Later, the system of supply of Crimea with electricity will contain 4 undersea cable total capacity of 800 megawatts. Also, areas of the Republic it is planned the construction of 2 new substations and about 500 km of high voltage transmission lines.
