Usackas: Ukraine can become a unifying factor for the Russian Federation and the EU
Ukraine could become a uniting factor in relations between Russia and the European Union, the prerequisite for this is the implementation of the Minsk agreements, I'm sure the EU Ambassador in Russia Vygaudas Usackas.

according to him, the situation with Crimea joining Russia which happened in 2014, has violated the basis of the relations Russia - EU.

"Ukraine once again can bring us together. The prerequisite for this is the implementation of the Minsk agreements. I must admit that we haven't come to this, but the situation has not deteriorated, " said Usackas, speaking at the sixth General conference of the Civil forum EU-Russia.

The Ambassador is sure that there are a number of things, such as Economics, migration, climate correction, which Russia and the EU ought to discuss together.

So, according to the Ambassador, despite the political difficulties, the EU and Russia are and will remain important partners. Only in the first part of 2015, 46% of Russian foreign trade accounted for the European Union, even given the restrictive measures." For comparison, the share of Asia and the Pacific amounted to 26%, while the share of the Eurasian Union - Only 6% of the total Russian foreign trade ", - said Ushatskas.
