Poroshenko thanked the EU for penalties against deputies of the state Duma of the Crimea
The head of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko supported the decision of the Council of the European Union of sanctions concerning the Crimea elected deputies of the state Duma of the 7th convocation.
"I welcome the decision of the EU Council to impose additional personal penalties in connection with the illegal "parliamentary elections" in Crimea. Thanks to the European Union for the preservation of non-recognition policy of the illegal annexation of Crimea and the strengthening of sanctions against the Russian aggressor, " ? reported in the message Poroshenko on Twitter.
Wednesday out LO, published in the published journal of the European Union, it was announced that the EU had blacklisted all the deputies of the state Duma of Russia from the Crimea and Sevastopol. Remember, yesterday, the Council of the EU adopted additional individual penalties against Russia. Relations between Russia and the West deteriorated in connection with the situation in Ukraine. In response, Russia in the last month of summer 2014 has imposed retaliatory punishment, which has spread to agro-industrial products from USA, EU, Canada, Australia and Norway. Crimea and Sevastopol became part of Russia according to the results of the March referendum in 2014. Reunification with Russia was supported by 96, 77% of Crimean residents and 95, 6% of Sevastopol. 21 Mar 2014 Russian President Vladimir Putin signed the law on ratification of the agreement on joining of the Crimea and Sevastopol a part of Russia, and also the decree about formation of the Crimean Federal district. The leadership of Russia many times stated that the inhabitants of Crimea democratically in full compliance with international law and the UN Charter voted for Reunification with Russia. As drew the attention of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, the question of Crimea is closed completely.
