Battle for Mosul: about 800 militants killed In the battle for Mosul the coalition expels ISIS from the second largest city of Iraq. 78 villages were liberated from the yoke of terrorists. About 800 militants killed.

ISIS relies on asymmetric tactics of warfare to inflict damage on his opponents, and terrorize the long-suffering of local civilians. ISIS sets fire to oil wells in the oil-rich region, in an attempt to blunt the effectiveness of the air force of the coalition, dimming them visibility.

Sulfa object was set on fire by the ISIS militants, who have placed explosives throughout the factory. The fire burned for several days, emitting toxic plumes because of which hundreds of civilians had sought medical help and complicate military operations in the area.

According to the joint operational command of Iraq, was discovered two bomb factories during the first weeks after the attack, and almost 400 IEDs remotely detonated by coalition forces. Brigadier General bayah of Suri told CNN that a large part of its troops were killed by such explosives than the battlefield.

"They put them on the road and in homes," he said. "We liberated the village, and they are everywhere - people return to their homes, open the door or even the fridge and the bomb explodes."

As the coalition discourages Mosul, ISIL launched a surprise attack in other parts of the country, in an attempt to distract the coalition forces and move their attention and resources to another place. On Friday there was an attack on the city of Kirkuk 175 km South-East of Mosul. On Sunday, the militants attacked Rutba, a town in Anbar province hundreds of kilometres to the South-West of Mosul, which was retaken by Iraqi forces in may.
