The media had come to its own conclusions about Brittany Murphy`s death.

But the autopsy has ruled her death to be from natural causes.

The actress is said to have died from pneumonia, with intoxication from prescription drugs contributing to her death.

The Los Angeles County coroner`s office ruled pneumonia as the primary cause of death, with contributing factors of iron deficiency anaemia and `multiple drug intoxication`.

The Clueless actress was found dead on 20th December last year after she collapsed at her Hollywood Hills home. She was just 32 years old.

The death was ruled to have been accidental, and while the coroner`s spokesman Craig Harvey refused to list which drugs were involved, they have been confirmed as prescription medication.

Brittany`s husband, Simon Monjack, last month said that his wife did take several prescriptions, including an anti-seizure drug, but did not abuse the medications.
