In Eastern China collapsed residential building. At least 22 people were killed when a residential building collapsed early Monday morning local time, state media reports.

It is not yet clear what caused the collapse in Wenzhou, which is located 285 miles (460 km) South of Shanghai and located in Zhejiang province. The reasons for the collapse, according to the Agency, is still under investigation.

About 28 people were rescued, 6 are in stable condition, according to Xinhua. Last reported, there was a young girl found in rubble being protected from a collapse of her parents.

Xinhua reports that the girl's parents died, but the people's daily, another state news organisation said that "it is not yet clear" whether they will be able to survive.

Rescue operation, which was attended by about 800 people was completed about 1 a.m. Tuesday, reports Xinhua.
