The militants staged the attack on Kurdish wedding ISIL has claimed responsibility for the deadly attack, which occurred at Kurdish wedding party in North-East Syria, the latest act of violence to destabilize the country on alert.

At least 22 people were killed and dozens injured in the blast near the city of Hasaka, according to a according to the British Syrian Observatory for human rights. The groom was among those killed, said the founder of SOHR, Rami Abdurrahman.

The group with reference to the sources claims that a suicide bomber carried out the blast inside the wedding hall in the village of tal taweel, which is under the control of Syrian Kurdish forces. Kurdish forces have played a key role in the fight against ISIS in Syria and Iraq.

ISIL has claimed responsibility for the attack in the statement, which was posted on Twitter. The news comes the same day the United States announced that it was suspending bilateral talks with Russia on the background of the ongoing bloodshed in Syria. Referring to the recent spate of attacks by Russia and its allies of the Syrian regime on hospitals and other civilian areas in Aleppo, the US has accused Russia of failing to uphold the cease-fire and attempt to "bomb civilians".

Government forces now control the strategic area around al-Kindi hospital North of Aleppo. Terrorist groups, including ISIL took advantage of the instability of the country and made their own attack.
