In Syria during an air strike killed 26 people At least 26 people were killed, including 6 children, during the air strike, which occurred in the Northern Syrian city of Aleppo, according to the monitoring group, the British Syrian Observatory for human rights (SOHR). 9 people were injured, some in critical condition, said the SOHR.

It is not clear who initiated the attack. But the opposition and the United States accused of attacking the Syrian regime and Russian military aircraft since the cease-fire was terminated.

SOHR reported that in the Eastern part of the city of Aleppo was hit by bombs. Fighting between regime and rebel forces is continuing around the city. Throughout the conflict the explosives were the hallmark of the Syrian government forces.

The fire happened after a bloody weekend during which killed 85 people and injured 300. On the same day the UN security Council has appointed an emergency meeting.

In this meeting the UN Secretary-General ban Ki-moon and US Ambassador to the UN, Samantha Power, called the brutal attack of the Syrian regime against the besieged districts of the Northern city of Aleppo "barbaric".

Ban Ki-moon said that the air strikes, and incendiary weapons and bombs in densely populated areas amount to war crimes.
