In the United States, Oklahoma, a police officer Betty Shelby was charged with felony manslaughter in the first degree, said district attorney Steve Kunzweiler reporters on Thursday.

Shelby shot and killed 40-year-old black man Terrence Crutcher after his SUV stopped in the roadway last week.

"We reviewed the facts of the allegations. It is our responsibility to determine whether filing criminal charges are warranted in accordance with the law," said Kunzweiler. A warrant was issued for the arrest and was taken to her surrender, he said.
