The United States accused Russia in the attack on the convoy with humanitarian aid The United States accused Russia that Russian warplanes bombed the convoy with humanitarian aid and a warehouse belonging to the Syrian Arab Red Crescent. "We have all evidence that we were able to come to this conclusion," said one of the officials.

The white house also said that Russia is responsible for the attack, regardless of whether it was their aircraft - or the Syrian regime committed the attack.

The convoy with humanitarian aid was shot down Monday night in the al-Kubra, to the West of Aleppo, prompting the United Nations to suspend its activities in providing aid in Syria.

"All of our information clearly shows that it was an airstrike. This means that only Russia and the Syrian regime are responsible for this attack," said Deputy national security adviser Ben Rhodes on Tuesday evening. He did not specify which aircraft the country conducted the attack.

"We believe that the Russian government was responsible for air strikes in the same airspace, taking into account their obligations under the cessation of hostilities, which hosted the humanitarian assistance," said Rhodes, referring to the conditions of the recent agreement on a ceasefire.

Russia, in turn, denies the allegations and says that the attack was committed by terrorists.
The representative of the Ministry of defense of Russia Igor Konashenkov said on Tuesday that the analysis of videos from unmanned aerial vehicles attacks show that the militants followed the convoy.

The international Committee of the red cross reported that about 20 civilians were killed in the attack, as well as the Director of the office of the red Crescent, Omar Barakat. 18 of the 31 truck convoy was struck, said the United Nations. Aid intended for Eastern Aleppo, where an estimated 250 thousand civilians in need of food, medicines and water. The British Syrian Observatory for human rights reported that humanitarian workers were killed in the "bombing."
