A police officer shot and killed a 13-year-old boy The murder of a 13-year-old boy by police, who pulled a pistol from his belt, will be carefully investigated, to determine whether the charges are reasonable.

The accident occurred in the United States, in Ohio, in Columbus. A police officer responding to a call of an armed robbery shot the boy Wednesday night after he pulled a gun that looked almost identical to the weapon, authorities said.

Video footage of the incident will be automatically submitted to the Commission, to determine whether justified the actions of the officer. Mayor Andrew Ginter went to the community and encouraged to come together to answer the question, why the eighth-grader has precise copy of the police firearms.

"Something is happening in the country, and this bears fruit in our city," said Ginter on Thursday. "13-year-old boy died in Columbus because of our obsession with weapons and violence." The lawyer of the family of the murdered boy, Sean Walton, would not discuss any testimony and negotiations with the police, but said that the boy had a violent criminal history.

Police and city officials promised a full investigation, rejecting the comparison of the murder of 12 year old Tamir in Cleveland in 2014. Then the police were chasing a couple in the alley and tried to take them into custody. Tamir pulled out a gun with a laser sight, and the officer fired, hitting the boy several times, police said. The victim later died in hospital.
