The US government of Louisiana is investigating the controversial incident - the murder of a black clerk Elton Sterling. The incident occurred in the town of Baton Rouge.

Responding to a question about the trial, corporal Jean McNally said that the police would not comment on the lawsuit, as is standard procedure. The U.S. Department of justice conducts a criminal investigation, said the Governor of Louisiana John Bel Edwards. The police, FBI and state officials will also be involved.

The attacker called a group of African Americans to go to war with the police. He also visited extremist websites of the Nation of Islam. "This is no different from ISIS propaganda. And the question for law enforcement is where do you draw the line between freedom of speech and something else," said former Deputy Director of the FBI.
