In Bangladesh, the murdered editor of the LGBT magazine The only editor of the journal of LGBT people of Bangladesh, who was also a former employee of the U.S. Embassy, was killed on Monday evening in Dhaka, officials say.

In a statement, the U.S. Embassy called the name of the editor, who was brutally murdered. This Ulhas Manana, the Embassy called him a "dear friend." Mannan worked in government Agency for the prevention of poverty.

"We hate this senseless act of violence and urge the government of Bangladesh to resolutely investigate this crime to find the criminals and punish them to the fullest extent of the law," said Marcia bernicat the US Ambassador to Bangladesh.

Mannan with another man was at home in Dhaka, when 5 or 6 young men under the guise of couriers arrived at the building. They entered the apartment on the second floor and killed the editor and his friend with a machete.

Recently the public has been shaken by another scandal. A University Professor was mercilessly killed when he was standing at the bus stop and waited for your bus. All these cold-blooded killings indicate that the peace activists are completely helpless in the face of crime.

"The act is unjustifiable and inexcusable", he told reporters, state Department spokesman John Kirby. Mannan was the kind of person who is willing to fight for what he believed in, ready to defend their own rights and the rights of others," said USAID administrator, Gayle Smith, in a statement.

The team working with the editor often receives threats from various Islamic pages on Facebook. Mannan was a prominent member of the gay men in Bangladesh since 2005 and many of its leading activists live in fear.

In September, Islamic extremists said they wanted to declare war against secular writers beyond the borders of Bangladesh. They released a "hit list" of people who live in Europe and North America. "We will hunt them in whatever part of God's world they are not hid and will kill them right there."

Bangladeshi authorities have done little to prevent such attacks. Instead, to ensure the safety of the police warned the activists of the LGBT community, so that they behave "less provocative."
