Military inspectors from Russia will fly over the United States
A group of Russian inspectors will perform an Observation flight on the Russian aircraft observations Tu-154ÌËê-1 over the United States during the implementation of the international Treaty on open skies, said the head of the Russian national Center for reducing nuclear danger Sergey Ryzhkov.




"The observation flight will be performed from 17 to 22 October 2016 from the airfield the open sky Travis (California). The maximum range will be 4250 miles ", ? quotes his words RIA " Novosti ". This is the thirty-sixth Observation flight of the Russian Federation over the territories of the States parties to the Treaty in 2016, said Ryzhkov. The Treaty on open skies was signed in 1992 and became one of the measures for strengthening confidence in the European Union after the Cold war. It operates since 2002 and provides the opportunity to participating countries to openly collect information about military forces and activities of one another. The Contract includes the vast majority of NATO countries, Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Georgia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and neutral Sweden and Finland. Usually flights Russia and NATO countries are carried out on a reciprocal basis.
