Chinese authorities say 18 people were killed and another two are in hospital after a small passenger bus fell into a lake in Central Hubei province early Friday morning.

The provincial government announced on the official website that 2 people survived the accident near the city of Ezhou and the bus driver has been placed under investigation.

A large part of Central China were shrouded in thick fog for the last few days, although the report does not mentioned that the weather is considered a factor in the accident. The bus is almost completely submerged in water. Opened a criminal case.
