The President of the Philippines executed almost 6 thousand people Citing statistics published by the Philippine national police, it became known that since July 1, during the "war on drugs" was recorded 5,927 deaths.

The figures published by the Philippine national police on Monday covers the period from 1 July to 12 December 2016. Of the total number of 2,086 people were killed in police operations, and 3841 during the extrajudicial executions. More than 40 thousand suspects were arrested.

Philippine Vice-President Leni Robredo said on Monday that more opposition voices in the government are opposed to the cruelty of Duterte. "There are many of us who are against the President's policies," she said. Robredo left the office earlier in December after she reportedly received a text message, prohibiting her participation in the meetings. Washington is also critical of the killing drug dealers without resorting to judicial proceedings.
