Leading Fox News called Putin a "murderer" Russian President Vladimir Putin is waiting for an apology from Fox News host bill O'reilly, who during an interview with Donald trump called Putin a "murderer".

"Apparently, the Putin administration in Moscow requires that I - your humble correspondent has apologized for saying about Putin, that he "is a murderer," said O'reilly on his Fox show. "So I'm working on that apology, but it may take some time."

Earlier in the day, Putin's press Secretary Dmitry Peskov has described the words of O'reilly as unacceptable and offensive. O'reilly made a remark about Putin during the interview, which took place on Sunday with the President of the United States Donald trump. When trump said he respects Putin, O'reilly replied, "He is a murderer." Trump responded: "There are many killers, do You think that our country is innocent?"

President's remarks also drew a loud protest, equating the actions of the US with authoritarian Putin regime. Fox News called Putin a murderer and in the past, but it seems that the words of the TV presenter in a high-profile interview with trump attracted the attention of Moscow.
