Trump will host Chinese President XI Jinping President Donald trump plans to host President of China XI Jinping at a summit next month at his estate Mar-a-Lago in Florida, said a senior administration official on Monday.

Plans for the summit, which will be the first meeting between trump and si, arose in an atmosphere of heightened tension in the region, especially in connection with the growing nuclear threat of North Korea.

Trump said in recent weeks that North Korea is one of the most serious problems of security it faced as President, and said he plans to call on China to take more serious action to rein in Pyongyang, indicating a substantial leverage over the North Korean regime.

Territorial disputes in the South China sea and the ongoing construction of the artificial Islands China are also likely on the agenda because this issue has caused a flaring of tensions between China and other major powers in the region, Japan and South Korea.

After discussing the security issues, the two world leaders, likely to focus on trade. Trump made a recalibration of trade relations, U.S. Central agenda item of his administration, and during the campaign he has repeatedly spoken out against the trade imbalance between the US and China.

Trump is still retained on this front. Although he promised to officially declare China a currency manipulator on the first day of his stay at his post, he hasn't done that. And he was not as decisive in the question of the impact of China on trade with the US since he became President.
