In Japan there are 8 students who got under an avalanche In Japan there are 8 students who came under an avalanche in the Japanese ski resort, according to the representative of the local fire Department.

Bad weather conditions hindered the efforts of emergency crews to reach the ski area of NASU Onsen on the slopes of mount NASU in Tochigi Prefecture, about 200 kilometers North of Tokyo.

According to one of the teachers accompanying the students, six other students are believed to be injured. According to the representative of the fire Department, 32 children and teachers were able to descend the slope.

According to local officials, the students were part of a mountaineering club and was involved in ski lessons when local police received a report about an avalanche at 9:20 local time.

The Japan meteorological Agency has issued avalanche Advisory warning for the region after the recent heavy snowfall.
