Human Rights Watch accused the U.S. of killing civilians in Syria A new report says that American troops did not take the necessary precautions during the attack on a mosque in Northern Syria is full of hundreds of believers.

The Syrians said that the US attack on mosque in West Aleppo on March 16, killing at least 40 believers and injuring dozens of people. The US said that the explosions were aimed at meeting rooms, which are used by terrorists "al-Qaeda". According to the survey non-governmental organization Human Rights Watch and interviews with local residents, photos and videos of this building prove that it was a famous mosque, where every Thursday there were lectures between sunset and evening prayer.

Any attempt to gather information about the building showed that it was a popular gathering place for residents during the alleged attack, told Human Rights Watch. In addition, the investigation found no evidence to support the claim, States that members "al-Qaeda" or any other armed groups met in the mosque, the report said.

"The U.S. seems, in this attack, a few is fundamentally wrong, and dozens of civilians paid for it," said OLE Solvang, Deputy Director for emergencies at Human Rights Watch.

The U.S. military reported in March that the raids had killed "several terrorists" in the place of a meeting of high-ranking terrorists of "al-Qaeda" in Idlib. Us military official confirmed that U.S. warplanes conducted airstrikes in the area. But the official said that the strikes came at a distance of 40-50 feet from the mosque, and said that satellite imagery showed that the mosque is still standing. However, in the report, Human Rights Watch said that the U.S. military improperly determined the location of the attack and that it is located to the South-West of al-Gina, not in Idlib.

The location of the two large craters indicates that the first bomb hit the mosque during prayer, from which the survivors escaped before the second bombing to hit people outside. Others who rushed to the scene to help were also killed, the witness told Human Rights Watch.

The report calls on the US authorities to make public the results of the investigation of the attack and to prosecute the perpetrators of the attack.
