In Portland during the protests was arrested 14 persons At least 14 people were arrested on Sunday amid rival protests in Portland, Oregon.

Hundreds of supporters of US President Donald trump gathered at Terry D. Shrunk Plaza to participate in the rally, "Trump Free Speech". The protesters, who viewed the rally as an implicit endorsement of racism, given its proximity to racial charges, gathered across the street. The groups were separated by a wall of officers of armed men, who wore protective armor, from the local and Federal police agencies.

What started with a busy exchange of insults, turned the attack, when protesters began throwing glass bottles, bricks, and balloons with "dirty-smelling liquid" at officers, according to Portland police. Officers used pepper spray to ward off the crowd and closed the Park where they had gathered, threatening to arrest any who remain.

CNN correspondents on the scene noticed that most arrests were focused in the area of protesters. According to the statement of the police Department of Portland, three of the 14 arrested were released. Most are accused of rioting, police said. Other charges against various protesters included possession of weapons, interference in relationships with the police and prosecution, said in a statement to the police.
