The Blink 182 star has been giving the R&B singer tips on how to play the drums and the pair met earlier this week so Rihanna could practice her skills. Travis has revealed he is impressed with the 22-year-old beauty and is confident she is on her way to mastering the percussion instrument.

"Teaching Rihanna some things on drums. She JAMS!!!!! Watch out for her (sic)!!" Travis wrote on his Twitter page yesterday as he posted a photograph of the pair posing at a rehearsal space in Los Angeles.

Rihanna has previously shown an interest in the drums and can be seen playing the instrument in the video for her latest single Rude Boy.
It has been claimed the Barbados-born singer is keen to improve her skills so she can impress her fans by picking up a pair of drumsticks and performing live during her upcoming European tour.

Rihanna and Travis became close after the pair collaborated on a remix of Rihanna?s hit single Umbrella.
