The US and China cannot come to a consensus about how to deal with aggressive rogue state. While China and Russia are calling for concessions from both sides, the US still has not taken any steps to open negotiations, instead, decided to resume military show of force with its South Korean ally.

North Korea announced Tuesday that it has successfully tested a test Intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM), which, according to state media, reached an altitude of 2802 km (1,741 miles). State media said that now they can strike the us mainland with a nuclear warhead.

In the joint press release of Russia and China, the two countries reiterated their call on North Korea to stop its missile and nuclear programs in exchange for what U.S. and South Korea finished a major joint military exercises.
