Famous spy Jeon Hye-sung returned to North Korea North Korean spy Jeong Hye-soon, known for his appearances on television in South Korea, returned to his former country and condemned the "propaganda" that it once helped to create.

NP video released by the North Korean government website Uriminzokkiri on Saturday, Jeon Hye-soon said she was told to "slander and speak ill" about North Korea during her stay in the South.

In January 2014, Chung moved to South Korea and is believed to have returned to North Korea last month. It is unclear how she returned and under what circumstances. Earlier defectors had returned to the country under duress. Chon, which were named lim JI-Hyun in South Korea, said he had experienced "physical and psychological pain" in Seoul and now staying with her parents in Anjou, in the North Korean province of South Pyongyang.

She was a known face on Korean TV show defectors, several times appeared on the show-festival Moranbong Club, in which North Koreans eating and drinking with the owners and discuss politics and culture of their former country. "I thought if I'm gonna play in the show, I will be able to make movies and gain popularity," she said during the North Korean transmission.

In the North Korean movie Jeong said she went to the South "with imagination, I can eat well and earn a lot of money," but instead found a country obsessed with wealth. For his part, Chung said that every day in South Korea "comes to life in hell," adding that her heart is "sick with thoughts about the homeland and my parents."
