The Minister of defence of Japan has left his post The Minister of defense of Japan Tomomi Inada left his post. She filed a petition of resignation to Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. Inada decided to go on the fall rating of the Cabinet of Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.

At a press conference in Tokyo Tomomi Inada said she resigned and Prime Minister Shinzo Abe on Friday morning took her in. Inada, once a rising political star, took on the role of Minister of defence in August 2016 and was named by many as the successor to Abe. She is the first woman to serve in this position.

Indy the resignation comes amid a scandal over the disclosure of records made by the peacekeepers on their activities during clashes in southern Sudan.
