In Vladivostok from 4 to 8 September is the forum in which frameworks there passes the international tournament on judo. The tournament bears the name of Jigoro Kano and his supervisors to the President of Russia and Prime Minister of Japan.

Vladimir Putin in his speech said that the first competition between the Russian and Japanese wrestlers took place in 1917, and this tournament is timed to the 100th anniversary of the first competition.

The presidents of Russia, together with their distinguished guests were awarded with cups and medals to the participants. Putin told the audience that the Russian side will strive to make this tournament an annual event. At the end of his speech, he wished the athletes success.
