Kazakhstan gave up the Cyrillic alphabet Nursultan Nazarbayev signed a decree on transition of Kazakh language from Cyrillic to the Latin alphabet.

Within a few years Kazakhstan will be gradually introduced the Latin alphabet for the Kazakh language. It should be noted that the Cyrillic alphabet, the Kazakh people moved only in 1940. Before 20 years, writing was conducted with the use of the Latin alphabet, and before 1920 used the Arabic script.

The current Cyrillic alphabet has 42 letters, and a new Latin alphabet will contain 32 letters.

Change the font style of the letter, according to the manual, has no political component and is connected only to Kazakhstan was easier to integrate into the world community, to facilitate communication and to introduce modern technologies.

To neighboring Kyrgyzstan on the contrary considered that the change Cyrillic to Latin will break the link between generations and abandoned the idea of changing the letters in the alphabet.
