The Italian team suffered a defeat on the Swedes and lost the chance to participate in the world Cup in Russia.

For the first time in the past 60 years, Italy will not participate in the final stage of the world championship on football which will pass in Russia in the summer of 2018. From the outset the Italians had difficulties - they were in the same group with the Spaniards, who defeated them with the score 3:0.

Then the Italians easily defeated the national team of Russia, but in Sweden they stumbled. In two matches the Italian forwards did not score against the Swedish national team a goal.

One of the most famous teams in the world, four times became the Champion of the world Cup, failed to qualify through a qualifying sieve.
