The 35-year-old Black Eyed Peas singer married the actor in January 2009 in Malibu, California. Shortly after the wedding, their relationship was rocked by allegations Josh had cheated on Fergie, but they dismissed the claims and stayed together.

Now, Josh has revealed they are looking forward to starting a family soon, and he hopes they have several children.

"I have always loved kids? I am happy with one, but I will take seven," Josh gushed on the red carpet at a Red Cross event in Los Angeles on Saturday.

Fergie was equally keen to discuss their family plans, but insisted she would wait to get pregnant until after the Black Eyed Peasý upcoming world tour.

"Sometime definitely in the future, yes," she said. "After the tour because I can`t be jumping around with those other boys if I am."

The couple also revealed they would consider adopting children. They were both shocked when they recently discovered how many children in the US need parents, and would willingly look into adopting in the future.

"I would love to [adopt], especially the more you learn about the kids that are out there that need parents. I am a supporter of adoption," Josh explained.

Until they decide to become parents, Fergie and Josh are just enjoying spending time with each other. They love going on "romantic" hikes, and insists they have not let the affair allegations affect their lives.

"It`s going great, aside from the scandal," Fergie said. "The most romantic thing that Josh does for me is that when we go on our hikes, he always picks the prettiest flower and puts it in my hair. It`s really cute and it?`s kind of our hippie side."
