The actor is currently promoting his new movie Robin Hood, and made his name appearing in hard-hitting blockbusters such as Gladiator and L.A. Confidential. He is now considering switching things up, explaining he would love to show off his dance moves in a traditional Indian story.

"`I don`t mean a typical Hollywood film that happens to be set in India, but a Bollywood film," he told British newspaper The Daily Mail. "The script would have to be right, and I`d have to understand completely what I was doing. But I fancy having a go. I can do my own singing and I can dance a little bit."

Russell added he won`t be devastated if he doesn`t manage to find the right script, but is hopeful more will come his way now he has been open about his desire.

The actor`s love of music is well documented. He played guitar and sang in band 30 Odd Foot of Grunts, but decided to go solo in 2005. He has also appeared in several musicals, included a version of the renowned Rocky Horror Picture Show.

Russell recently posted a message on his Twitter page telling fans he will be busking while visiting Rome in the near future, and inviting them to come and watch.
