Lindsay Lohan has posted her bail The actress was due to attend a probation progress hearing in Los Angeles yesterday, in relation to her 2007 conviction for Driving Under the Influence (DUI). There have been claims Lindsay has not attended enough of the alcohol education classes she must complete as part of her probation, meaning she could have breached it.

After previously saying Lindsay would not have to go to court if she was in compliance, Judge Marsha Revel order the actress to attend. However, Lindsay was unable to be there after having her passport stolen while attended the Cannes Film Festival in France.

Her attorney, Shawn Chapman Holley, told Judge Revel that Lindsay had made every effort to be at the hearing yesterday but was stranded. The judge did not accept the excuse, insisting if Lindsay had wanted to attend court she could have.

She then issued a bench warrant for her arrest, saying Lindsay could avoid jail if she posted $100,000 bail. Judge Revel added she hoped the costly bail would make Lindsay realise the seriousness of the situation.

The star`s lawyers paid the money several hours later, giving a bondsman $10,000 for the bond. Lindsay will now appear at a new hearing on Monday.

While setting bail, Judge Revel said she wanted Lindsay to be subject to a number of stipulations. She is banned from drinking alcohol until she has a probation violation hearing and must be fitted with a SCRAM bracelet which monitors alcohol levels in the body. She must also agree to random, weekly, drug tests.

Judge Revel added there is reason to believe Lindsay may have breached her probation. If she is found to have done so, she could be jailed for 180 days.

Lindsay has become better known for her tumultuous personal life than her acting prowess in recent months. Her father Michael Lohan has repeatedly accused her of being addicted to prescription drugs, which she denied, and has staged an intervention to try to "save her". He has called for her to be forced into rehab, and has spoken of obtaining a conservatorship so he is put in charge of all aspects of her life.

Lindsay has now accused her father to planning to steal her passport. "I always said my father had someone do it," the 23-year-old told Us Weekly magazine.

Michael`s lawyer Lisa Bloom has refuted the claims, insisting her client just wants to help his daughter. "Michael was working very hard behind the scenes to help her get home," she told X17Online. "Lindsay is obviously very angry with Michael because he wanted her to go to rehab for several months. She`s lashing out at him."
