Balancing career and home life is "definitely a challenge" for Aguilera The singer recently released Bionic, her first new album since she gave birth to her two-year-old son Max Liron. Christina is thrilled to be back in the charts, but admits it is a constant struggle to devote enough time to her family and her music. She is finding her current schedule exhausting, but she wouldn`t change anything about her life right now.

"The toughest part is the schedule - balancing that between being a mommy and being able to still concentrate and focus on the work," Christina told People magazine. "I`ll go and tuck my son in at night and sing him to sleep with a lullaby, and then I go in the studio and sing. It`s definitely a challenge and a balancing act, but one that I take on. I wouldn`t have it any other way."

The 29-year-old star also revealed she and her husband Jordan Bratman have adopted a laidback perspective on being parents. She encourages her son to have fun and not be afraid to try new things. Christina has never cared what people think about her and she believes this attitude will make Max Liron more confident and allow him to develop his own personality.

"I really like to let him be creative and give him the freedom to really have fun," she explained.

"I think fun is a really big element of life itself, and being able to take in the small things. I?m instilling that in him early - being playful, and allowing him to get messy and dirty as a boy and just have fun - to really push for his individuality."
