Pyongyang: S.Korea fabricated results of Cheonan sinking investigation North Korea proposed at a UN Security Council session sending its own group of experts to South Korea to inquire in Seoul`s investigation concerning the sinking of the Cheonan warship.

South Korea`s 1,200-ton warship sank near the disputed Northern Limit Line in the Yellow Sea on March 26, causing the loss of 46 lives. An international investigation revealed that North Korea fired a torpedo at the vessel from a submarine, although Pyongyang has denied the allegations.

Pak Tok-hun, North Korea`s envoy to the UN, said at the session on Monday that his country had nothing to do with the incident and all conclusions of the investigation were fabricated by South Korea.

He added that the UN Security Council should refrain from discussions of the incident until Pyongyang confirms the results of the investigation from South Korea.

South Korea referred the issue to the United Nations Security Council on June 4. North Korea has threatened "serious consequences" if the council considers the issue.
