RobertPattinson has made a "fundamental change" to his portrayal ofEdward Cullen.

Robert won the hearts of Twilight fans for his portrayal of the shy and awkward vampire in the first two Twilight movies, as his character decided whether to be with his non-vampire girlfriend Bella Swan.

The upcoming Eclipse movie required Robert to give a more assured performance as Edward decides he wants to marry Bella, played by Robert`s real-life girlfriend Kristen Stewart.

"I wanted to change Edward`s body language and the way he was. In the first two movies what`s causing him to be in a crisis all the time is deciding, shall I be with her or not? But at the end of New Moon he decides he`s going to be with her. There`s a fundamental change and so everything had to change," he told Australia`s Today show.

Despite the success of the Twilight saga and becoming an A-list star, the British actor also spoke about his desire to lead a normal life and revealed he would return to his humble roots in a flash.

The heartthrob was asked about the old house he lived in with just one"bloke and a chair" and jet-setting Robert revealed he missed that lifestyle.

"I live in hotels now, if I could live in the same place I used to live in, I would live there in second," he revealed.

Robert also confessed that despite having such a successful career, he is actually very lazy. He also lamented not being able to meet new people without them already thinking they know his personality.

"I love doing nothing more than anything in the world. I used to do nothing ever. I guess I miss that, and being able to meet strangers without a predisposed mindset," the star admitted.
