The fashion designer and her husband Alasdhair Willis - who already have two sons, Miller, five, and Beckett, two, and a daughter, three-year-old Bailey - is expecting her fourth child, due to be born later this year.

A source close to Stella - the daughter of former Beatle Sir Paul McCartney and the late Linda McCartney - told the Daily Mail newspaper: "Stella loves the idea of having a close-knit family, just like the one she grew up in.

"She`s a great mum. She has been telling all her friends the good news."

Just recently Stella - who has three sisters, Heather, Mary and Beatrice, and a brother, James - revealed she was looking forward to some time off from being pregnant, but confessed she was thinking about extending her family.

She said: "I`m kind of interested in having more children. Though right now I feel like I`ve only just stopped having them, so I`m ready to have a bit of a break first."
