Russia proposes hosting G20 summit in 2013 Russia has proposed hosting the G20 summit in 2013 and the decision will be made this fall, a top Russian presidential aide said.

"We have proposed our candidacy for the G20 summit in 2013. The decision has not been made yet as Turkey also wants to host the summit," Arkady Dvorkovich told journalists after the G20 summit in Canada`s Toronto.

He said that the next two summits will be held in South Korea and in Mexico.

Leaders of the world`s 19 biggest economies, including Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, arrived in Toronto for a working dinner on Saturday evening.

The 20th member of the G20 is the European Union, while the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank and the European Central Bank also took part in the gatherings. The group accounts for 85 percent of world GDP.

The first G20 summit was held in Washington in November 2008 as the extent of the global financial crisis became clear, with subsequent meetings in London in April 2009 and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, last September.
