The UN General Assembly adopted a resolution submitted by Russia on the strengthening of the system of treaties on arms control, reports journalist Last news .

The decision was made on the backdrop of US withdrawal from the Russian-American Agreement on the destruction of intermediate-range and shorter-range nuclear forces (INF) and the test before this Treaty banned missiles, as well as the unclear fate of the start-3 Treaty.

Resolution with the name "strengthening and development of the system of treaties and agreements on arms control, disarmament and non-proliferation" campaign, all States parties concerned to implement all provisions of those agreements in full.

The authors are campaigning to continue to make efforts to strengthen the Treaty system in the areas of surveillance over arms.

According to the document, the UN General Assembly, believes that any action that undermines the system of treaties on arms control, disarmament and non-proliferation, undermine the global stability and international security.

The authors ask the UN Secretary-General to continue to assist the preservation of the integrity of such agreements and encourage the development by States of additional measures that are able to help additional agreements of this kind.
