Russian biathlete Evgeny Ustyugov suspended for 2 years for violating anti-doping rules and will be stripped of the gold medal of the Olympic games in Sochi in the relay, notified on the Internet representative office of the international biathlon Union (IBU).

Disqualification 34-year-old Ustyugov, who has finished career, will be counted from February 13, 2020. The results of the athlete will be cancelled from 27 August 2013 until the end of the world Cup season-2013/14. Athlete for 21 days may appeal the decision of the IBU court of arbitration for Sport.

Together with Ustyugov Alexey Volkov, Dmitry Malyshko and Anton Shipulin won gold in the relay at the Games in Sochi. Because of the decision by Ustyugov, the whole team should be deprived of gold medals. Second in the relay in Sochi began, the Germans, the third - the Austrians, the fourth - Norwegians.

on account of Ustyugov well as gold in the mass start and bronze in the relay at the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver and silver at the 2011 world Championships in Khanty-Mansiysk.
