According to Reshetnikova, such fluctuations were caused by the absence at that time of the agreements between the OPEC countries on the future extension of the Treaty on the reduction of production, and falling demand for raw materials due to pandemic coronavirus.

the Minister drew attention that the new contract has helped to stabilise the market. However, he warned that the world economy has accumulated a large buildup of oil. This factor, complained to the MP, will put pressure on the market.
