The UN security Council rejected the American Draft decision on extension of the arms embargo on Iran, said the US Secretary of state Mike Pompeo.

The Head of the state Department criticized the prosecution of the UN security Council in an " inability to act decisively in the interests of protection of international peace and stability."

Pompeo also promised to continue working to prevent the "theocratic regime" bespripyatstvenno to sell and buy weapons that " threatens the heart of Europe, the Middle East and the world in General ".

According to the agreement, the Joint comprehensive plan of action (SVPD), permits the supply to Iran of weapons is temporary and will expire on October 18. US pushing for the extension of the embargo.

These provisions concern the introduction of a licensing procedure for the supply of military equipment to Iran. The head of the Ministry of foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation S. V. Lavrov had noted the lack of objective grounds to raise the question of the arms embargo on Iran.
