The 19-year-old pop star - who has always shared a room at her parents` house in Brentwood, Essex with her sister - has bought a one bedroom apartment in a trendy area of east London so that she can enjoy some private time with her rumoured new boyfriend, model Oliver Cohen.

A friend of the `Turn It Up` singer said: "Pixie`s been wanting to move out of her mum and dad`s for ages and now things are going so well with Oliver she thought it was the perfect time.

"She thinks renting is a waste of money so she`s bought a gorgeous apartment in Shoreditch as a gift to herself for all of her hard work over the last year. She is massively excited and can?t wait to finally move in next week."

Pixie is particularly delighted by her purchase as it is close to exclusive members club Shoreditch House - frequented by stars such as Madonna, Heidi Klum and Billie Piper - where she loves to party.

The friend added to the Daily Star newspaper: "She thinks Shoreditch is the coolest place to be at the moment and also knows it`s not that far if she wants to pop back to Essex to see her parents.

"Pixie can`t wait to just be able to pop to Shoreditch House and hit the rooftop pool whenever she`s got some spare time.

Although she hasn`t moved in yet, the `Cry Me Out` hitmaker is already planning a big housewarming party.

The source said: "She`s already planning to have loads of parties herself and has been talking non-stop about her flat-warming event, but obviously she hasn`t mentioned anything to her mum.

"I think she was going to try to keep it quiet."
