PARIS HILTON was yesterday charged with cocaine possession following her arrest in Las Vegas.

The heiress, 29, could face up to four years in jail if convicted.

A police arrest report said that 0.8g of cocaine was found in her handbag on Friday night.

Officer Dennis Flynn`s report said Hilton, 29, was stopped as she was driven by boyfriend CY WAITS after cops noticed an "odour of marijuana" coming from the car.

He added: "Hilton said she needed to put some lip balm on and I handed her the purse.

"As she began to open it, I saw what I believed to be cocaine in a clear baggy begin to fall from the purse and into my hand.

"She told me the purse was not hers, that she borrowed it from a friend."
