The 36-year-old singer - who quit the group in 1995, a year before they split, and refused to join with their comeback in 2005 - says working with Gary Barlow, Mark Owen, Howard Donald and Jason Orange again leaves them worse off financially.

He told X magazine: "If it was financial the boys are doing themselves a disservice. They`ve got to split things five ways."

As well as keeping busy with Take That, Robbie is also believed to be planning two new solo albums, including another in the style of `Swing When You`re Winning`, which featured covers of popular big band, jazz-inspired songs.

However, the `Angels` hitmaker - who has sold over 50 million solo albums - recently insisted he wants his reunion with Take That to be long-term.

He said: "We`ve met on a level playing surface - the boys have come back and have done exceptionally well.

"People have had kids and you know, the edges for me have sort of rounded-off a little bit, and so have the boys. And it`s the feel-good factor that makes me want to keep coming back for more - or back for good!"
