The `Behind Closed Doors` singer - who has been single since splitting with former wife Katie Price in May 2009 - says his romance with the Spanish model is going well, but he doesn`t want to give too many details.

He said: "I can confirm that Elen Rivas and I are seeing each other, and everything is going well. I always said that when I found a girlfriend I would tell you all!

"I`m not going to speak about the relationship in detail - But I will say we`re happy. We went out for dinner last week and then went to see `Flashdance: The Musical`.

"The meal was terrific and `Flashdance` is such a great show. We totally loved it and had a great night."

Despite animosity between Peter and Katie - who raise three children together, Junior, five, Princess Tiaamii, three, and eight-year-old Harvey, the former glamour model`s son from an earlier relationship - when they first separated, the Australian singer insists they get on much better these days.

Speaking about a chance meeting with his former spouse over the festive period, he said: "I`m happy to say that it was all very civil between us. She was with the kids so we all had a little chat - and lots of cuddles with my kids of course - and then we got on with our shopping. No drama to report!"

Spanish-born Elen, 35, has said she has a "permanent smile at the moment" since she met Peter, 37.
