Russian President Vladimir Putin has congratulated Muslims living in Russia on their festival, Uraza Bairam, marking the end of Ramadan, the ninth month on the Muslim calendar, or the month of fasting.

Uraza Bairam shows people`s drive towards moral perfection, mercifulness and sympathy. Russian Muslims have always shown religious tolerance, adherence to peace and good neighborliness and care for fellow creatures, Putin said in his message of greeting.
