Russian spring lags behind the schedule Those who are not yet tired of the snow and freezing temperatures have several more days to enjoy this weather.

Spring is going to arrive a bit late in Moscow, with the cold that has gripped the Russian capital for two weeks now showing no signs of letting go just yet.

The long-awaited thaw is forecast to come no earlier then March 4, when temperatures are expected to go up to zero degrees Celsius.

This will be accompanied, however, by strong winds and heavy snowfalls.

The temperature is currently about 10 degrees below average for this time of year.
