Audrina Patridge wanted to be a psychologist The `Sorority Row` star was keen to pursue the career and was set to go to college to study for a degree but she was offered the chance to move to Hollywood to become an actress and chose that instead.

She said: "When I was younger I wanted to be a psychologist. But acting happened. I had to choose between going to college and trying to be a psychologist or moving to LA and trying to be an actress. Acting won out."

Audrina - who starred in `The Hills`, was a competitor on the last series of `Dancing with the Stars` and has her own reality TV show `Audrina` - accepts it isn`t easy to make it in Hollywood and her only tip is to work hard and never give up.

She added to FHM magazine: "You can`t give up, because it is very competitive and you will have more disappointments than you can imagine. But you have to keep going and grow thick skin, because once you are famous there is a lot of rubbish that comes with it. You are constantly going to be judged and be the subject of gossip and rumours. You just have to be prepared for it and not let it get to you or change who you are."
